Traditional access control is installed to control entry to unauthorised people for an individual door which is normally an entry door; various components are required to ensure a secure operating system.
Unlike SALTO traditional access control requires a power supply; an electric lock, strike or magnet and an authorising panel either proximity or digital code. The type of system chosen will depend on the number of people using the system and the type of building.
Simple access control can be achieved by installing a mechanical digital lock which has a simple code; code change can be difficult if you need to change the code on a regular basis and physical security can be low with this type of unit.
