The Multipoint locks are available in a variety of designs, but commonly include a centrally located deadbolt and a latch, at least two hook bolts and a pair of compression bolts which we have available in our collection. The bolts are operated by lifting the door handle from either side of the door leaf and are locked in place by the turn of a key from the face of the door or by an internal thumbturn. The compression bolts or hook bolts pull the door tightly into the weather seals in the frame to keep it weather tight, so no more door slamming in windy conditions! The most improved secure doorsets are fitted with multi-point locks, but there are still a lot of secured timber and composite doors that use rim nightlatches and mortice lock combinations which we have available here at AC Leigh. There are so many various multipoint locking systems on the market so it can be difficult to find the exact one you need, especially when replacing an existing lock, so check out the two vital measurements the centre and backset sizes before purchasing your lock at AC Leigh to avoid disappointment. But the main thing about these locks is that it will secure your building from burglars and intruders ensuring the safety of the people inside.
